What we pour

Eight finishes,
priced to the slab.

Each row is a real spec sheet — mix grade, finish family, typical application. Names are how the trade names them, not how marketing renames them. Ring us with what you’re after; we’ll tell you straight if it’s the right call.

  1. 01

    Honed Concrete

    32MPa · 20mm Boral · honed finish

The signature finish — mechanical grind exposes the natural stone in the mix. Driveways, alfresco, pool surrounds, paths.

  2. 02

    Exposed Aggregate

    32MPa · feature-stone mix · seal-finish

Stone-on-show, slip-resistant, low-fuss. Driveways and outdoor entertaining where you want texture and grip.

  3. 03

    Driveways & Crossovers

    32MPa · reinforced · council-spec finish

From the kerb to the carport. Council-compliant crossovers, residential driveways in any finish you like.

  4. 04

    Slabs & Footings

    Engineer-spec · waffle / raft / strip

House slabs, shed pads, garage slabs, granny flats. Set out, formed up, poured straight.

  5. 05

    Paths & Patios

    25–32MPa · finish to suit

Side paths, alfresco patios, garden borders. Poured to your line, levelled to fall away from the house.

  6. 06

    Backyard Transformations

    Full set-out · drainage · finish

Scrub-and-grass to flat, useable, finished concrete. We handle drainage, levels, and the finish you choose.

  7. 07

    Pool Surrounds

    Slip-rated · honed or exposed

Around-the-pool concrete that looks right and won't put your guests on their backs.

Straight from the slab

How the work actually sounds.

Three field notes from our own posts — the way we talk on site, before anyone tries to make it sound like a brochure.

  1. On the slab 2025
    Standard Boral. Large stone. Honed.
    Still crushing on this one.
    — Apex
  2. Teaching From a Tuesday
Honing is the process of mechanically grinding back the surface of the concrete to expose the natural stone within the mix.

Gym? Nah, we screed for cardio.

Things people ring us about

Eight things worth asking
before you book the truck.

  1. Both. A side path is the same trade as a 90m² alfresco — same set-out, same screed, same finish. Ring us with what you've got; we'll quote it straight whether it's 6m² or 600m².

  2. Full Nambucca Valley & Mid North Coast. Macksville, Bowraville, Nambucca Heads, Valla, Scotts Head, Stuarts Point, Eungai Creek, Warrell Creek, Kempsey, the Coffs Harbour fringe. Past that we'll still quote, but we'll be honest about the travel cost.

  3. All three. Most of our work is residential — driveways, slabs, alfresco, pool surrounds. Commercial means shed pads, footings, paths around small builds. Civil means crossovers, kerbs, footings to engineer's spec. If it's pourable and we can finish it properly, we'll quote it.

  4. Same idea — both show the stone in the mix. Exposed is rougher: we wash the cement film off while it's green, the stone sits proud, you get grip and shadow. Honed is smoother: the slab sets, then we mechanically grind the surface back so the stone is flush. Honed reads as architectural; exposed reads as natural. Both wear well.

  5. Public liability and workers comp, fully covered. We'll send a current certificate with the quote if you want it on file before we start.

  6. From quote-accepted to slab-poured, usually 2–4 weeks subject to weather and concrete supply. The pour itself is one day. Cure time before you walk on it: 24–48 hours. Before you drive on it: 7 days. Before final honing: 28 days.

  7. Yes — we keep cured samples of standard mixes (Boral 32MPa, large-stone, feature mix) in a few finishes. We'll bring them to the site visit so you can see what you're committing to before the truck books.

  8. On site within a week of you ringing, written quote in your inbox within 48 hours of the visit. If you ring on a Monday and the weather's playing along, we're often there mid-week.
